Our Story
As a kid I grew up helping on my family farm and traveling the country. I learned German and Spanish, which continued into my high school and college years. During my childhood my family hosted over 20 exchange students from all over the world.
At 16, I began my first solo international adventure, as an exchange student in Germany for a summer through the Lion’s Club. The following year, I ventured to Denmark, again as an exchange student. During my freshman summer of college I took a job at a B&B in Germany. All of these adventures only lit a fire within me, and taught me the importance of learning about the world around me. To date I have now traveled to 36 countries.
In 2013, after being prompted by many friends, I started organizing group tours, planning and booking family trips, weekend getaways, and more. All of which eventually led me to start Traveling Soles Tours.
I have a passion for showing people the world. It’s about learning what a small part of the world we actually occupy. It’s about the other ways of life. What I’ve learned from my travels is that not every one is so fortunate. Learning about the world is just the first step in peace and understanding.
